Eljero Elia & Ruud Van Nistelrooy Resume Hamburg Squad Training

Ambitious Bundesliga side Hamburg have received some positive news on the injury front in the build-up to the league match away to Hannover on Saturday.

According to a report in Bild, head coach Armin Veh has welcomed Dutch internationals Eljero Elia and Ruud van Nistelrooy back to the training pitch on Tuesday after the two attackers spent the past couple of weeks on the sidelines due to injury.

Elia was being plagued by a foot injury in recent weeks and played his last game for HSV on October 2 at home against Kaiserslautern.

Van Nistelrooy recently sustained a muscle injury and missed the matches against Eintracht Frankfurt, Koeln, Hoffenheim and Borussia Dortmund due to his injury problems.

Meanwhile, shot stopper Frank Rost is nearing full match fitness again, too, after a knee injury. The experienced glovesman spent the past three weeks on the sidelines due to the knock.
